You have a outline of a story that you think will make a great script.
If your answer is between one and three you have a possible stage play.
If your answer is four or more you have a possible screenplay.
Babylon 5 is an awesome television series, and the movies are just as good. It would be tough to rewrite as a satisfying stage play.

- Are your characters busy doing something?
If your answer is yes, you have a possible stage play.
If your answer is no; you have a lot of talking heads. You have a possible screenplay. In most good screenplays the characters are doing something.
Any Talk Show is a good example of this. I knew there was a reason that I do not like talk shows!

RK Movies has a directory containing an extensive list of movie scripts online. In a graduate class I took in scriptwriting for film. We compared the written script to a scene in the movie to learn about effective techniques used by successful writers. This is a opportunity to make a similar self-study by obtaining a script with your computer then comparing it to a favorite movie with the same title as a script that you already have in your video or dvd library .
