This prayer is said real fast in many horror and sci-fi shows just before the victim is either devoured, eaten or terminated. Since that does not work out that well for many characters in many movies I suggest using it routinely as opposed to trying it as a last act of desperation.

The Prayer for Protection went with astronaut Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. during Apollo 11's flight in July 1969. It must have worked since their journey to the moon was successful.
