Smatterings Printing Forms and Graphics from Your Browser

Sometimes when you want to copy something from the internet moving your mouse over what you want to copy and holding down the left button of your mouse, has no effect what so ever. Moving your mouse over what you want to either copy to clipboard or print while holding down the left mouse button, only works when you do this with something that is printed in a text format on the internet.

For an example let's say you wanted to print just the instructions on this page for printing a form using Microsoft Explorer or AOL. You would move your mouse to the title, "Printing a Form Using Microsoft Internet Explorer or AOL." Next you would hold down your left mouse button Then would move your mouse over the text, and select what you wanted to copy, the same as you would in any normal Windows program.

It is not easy to save a form created in Excel as a text document. It is much easier to convert the form to graphics file. So that is what I did. However, now it is not as easy to print the form as it would be if I could have saved the form as a text file. When using Microsoft Explorer 6 one merely right-clicks the graphic and highlights the Print Picture command from the list that just popped up.

How To Determine Which Browser I am Using

The browser is the program that you use to look at the internet. If you are not sure what browser that you are using left click on Help on the top of your browser.

If you are using Microsoft: "About Internet Explorer" will be at the bottom of the list. Click on it to find out what version you are using.
