The Second Candle

The candle for love:

The candle of hope and love

We re-light the first candle for hope. We light the second candle because God is love.

God so loved the world so much that he gave us his only begotten son.

Sometimes it is called the Bethlehem candle because God was busy making a place for Jesus to be born.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in a stable because there was no room at the inn.
