Life for a butterfly begins as a caterpillar. Caterpillars are worm like creatures that chomp on the best leaves of the plants in our garden.
Humans are mammal type creatures that spray their plants with pesticides to kill the little worm like creatures that are eating their favorite plants.
Caterpillars make a house to prepare themselves for the next phase of life in a structure a called a cocoon. Other structures are called chrysalis.
Humans live in all types of physical structures. Some structures are called houses, other structures are called apartments. There are many others.
Unlike the caterpillar, none of these physical structures prepare humans for the next phase of life. Humans prepare for the next phase of life by following the words of Christ, or the Jewish prophets.
If the caterpillar builds its cocoon poorly; the caterpillar never grows into anything more than a hard shriveled worm.
If the human builds its faith poorly; the human too never grows into anything more than a hard shriveled worm.
If the caterpillar builds its cocoon well it dies. In its death it transforms into a new beloved creature; the butterfly!
If the human builds its faith well it too dies. In its death it too transforms into something beautiful!
